Retiring??? Not quite

So this is more of an observation instead of an update on our progress.
The main question I get asked is if I am retiring, and my response has been “no, retiring requires paperwork and decisions.” I like to think that I am just taking some Marc time.
When you realize, as I have over the last few years, that having a 9-5 to get you out of the house, generating income and paying bills are three separate concepts that can be connected, but don’t have to be. And this adventure is just me getting out of the rat race.
Coming out of COVID, where I lost someone, helped me understand that life is short and yo don’t get a do over.
Someone also pointed out that 55-62 is when most people have the energy, disposable income and interest in making a change and traveling/trying something new.
All of that said, I fully realize that I have opportunities that many do not.
So this all is simply trying to live my/our best lives and see where the universe takes/ leads us.
Question for today. Who lives in this house?

Stephen King, and it is a popular tourist attraction for his horror novelist fans. Awesome pic.
